Burial Announcements / RNM Notice:

 

The death has occurred of Pastor SYLVANUS CHUKWUMA DURUOHA of Umunneme OGBERURU on Monday, September 20th, 2021. He died from complications of diabetic coma and negligence in managing his high blood sugar. He was born some 65 years ago.

Until his death, he was a pioneer member of his Church since 1992, and later became a Senior Pastor and Assistant Overseer at the Evangelical Life Gospel Churches of Nigeria with HQ in Aba, Abia State.

The Church is an offshoot of the EFAC - The Evangelical Fellowship of Anglican Communion (EFAC) since the mid-1990s.

As an astute learner who always wanted more of God’s word, he graduated with a Doctorate in Divinity from his denominational Bible College.

In addition, in 2010, he became the SE Program Manager for Relief Network Ministries, Inc. and Relief & Water Well Ministry Int’l in Nigeria. He lead the SE WASH (Water Access & Sanitation Hygiene) team to dedicate hundreds of water well projects in the area and to share the living water through the gospel of Jesus Christ with many of these well beneficiaries.

 

His remains will be laid to rest in his home village compound of UMUNNEME OGBERURU in ORLU LGA on Friday, December 10, 2021, after a Memorial Service that will be held at the same location.

 

He is survived by his amiable wife, Mrs. Duruoha Chima Joy, 4 daughters, and a son, namely:

• Mandela Ohams

• Sopuruchi Chukwuma

• Chisom Sylvanus

• Favour Sylvanus (son)

• Rejoice Sylvanus.

• two Sons-in-law:

• Anthony Oham

• Chukwuma Onwuka.

and two Grand Children:

• Purity Kamsiyiochukwu

• Sochikanma Oham
