Nigeria 2024 Water Well Projects

Passionate Heart Int’l School Well Project Completed!
Relief Network Ministries just completed a new water well project in the OGBOR HILL ZONE of ABA in ABIA State of Nigeria.
This well is located within the host school property and will serve some 1,500 people in the community including their 100 plus students in the Primary and Nursery School sections of Passionate Heart School - a young Christian school established to build Christian character and values in the lives of their kids and families represented.
Passionate Heart Int'l Schools is in Umuobe Community in Obingwa LGA, Abia State Nigeria.
The well was drilled in June, 2024 to 210 ft. and cased with 5 Inch OD PVC Pipes and screens with a 1 Hp pump installed delivering about 15-18 gallons of water per minute with depth of pump cylinder at approximately 120 ft.
It was dedicated by Pastor Precious Osuji (RNM Program Manager SE) on Aug. 3, 2024 following the erection of their water storage tank stand and the installation of the 5,000 liter tank. From the book of John 4 in the Bible, using Orality method with the story of the Samaritan woman that met Jesus at the well and how Jesus told her things she did in the past that she thought no one knew about he made the point that encounters with Jesus transforms lives. The story flabbergasted the woman who ran into her community telling everyone to come and meet the man that told her everything she ever did in the past. Exciting stuff!!
During the event, Sister Joy Osuji- RNM’ WASH team member SE also did the “Hand Wash Demo” for hand hygiene and sanitation training of those present.
The well project was sponsored by the generous gift of DOMINION CHURCH in Dickinson, Texas, one of RNM’s partner churches organization that is also very passionate about helping people in need along with sharing the gospel of Jesus Christ the living water.
We still have many communities in need of clean safe drinking water.

Another Big Charity Home Water Project Completed in Lagos, Nigeria.
The “SO SAID CHARITY HOME” borehole was dedicated yesterday being 11th June 2024
The charity home is located at AGO PALACE WAY OKOTA LAGOS
The well is 255 feet deep with casing of 5 inches circumference and 12 bar. It has 1 Hp submersible pump in it; and is serving over 1000 residents.
The dedication was a huge success as you can see through the pictures.
The Story by:
Chuks in Lagos Nigeria,
RNM WASH SW Program Manager
In the heart of Lagos-Nigeria, a unique Charity home exists named: “SO SAID”. It is situated at Hosanna estate, in Ago palace way Lagos.
It is a home that houses all manner of disadvantaged poor young persons that are either:
(1) Disabled persons and / or are
(2) Blind persons, or are (3) Orphans, or (4) Handicapped and wheelchair bound.
They have a big facility that includes a school where they educate some of them; and offer job skill acquisition in their program for both the blind and others.
The facility has had very serious water 💦 challenges over many years. Their water is iron water with odors and brownish. It stains their clothes and toilets. It is not good for human consumption. They have reached out to many donors in Nigeria including their local government officials for funding to dig a deeper well that will not produce iron water but to no avail. They learned about RNM and called our WASH program manager to see the water they use as they begged for help. (See video).
By the grace of God we respond from the funding of one of our special anonymous donors in League City, Texas to drill them a functional well with safe domestic water.
In response, the CEO - Mrs Felicia Martins expressed her joy and gratitude with their staffs, and all the disabled persons/students of the institution along with some neighbors in the area that are beneficiaries of the new well. They could not contain their joy as they sang songs of praise and prayed that God will continue to bless RNM Director, the donors and the ministry. They celebrated with dancing and our 4 reps served them with light refreshments: soft drinks minerals and biscuits.
They also taught them some hand hygiene lessons with a demo done by Pastor Chuks Meremikwu’s wife - Chinonye Deborah.
We still have many similar communities that are suffering, walking miles, and battling health issues from lack of clean water. To help sponsor the next project please donate Online at www.reliefnetworks.org or text “Give” to 409-377-6778.

Well #1 Drilled May 20, 2024

OPEN DOOR GOSPEL TABERNACLE INC., ONUAFOR UMUHALI, ISHIELU LGA EBONYI STATE; Well depth: 120 m (411 ft).

Population: over 12,000 plus animals

This church and its community have been in desperate need of clean water for years. As can be heard from the local Pastor’s testimony, they walk many miles to a river for unsafe water and often resort to using hand dug ponds as reservoirs for their drinking water collected during the rainy season. These reservoirs also may contain bits and pieces of rubbish, that includes elements from their open dedication practices as most homes don’t have even pit latrines in this village.

When they run out of water during long dry seasons they’re often in trouble and hardly take a bath with the scarce muddy water they have.

By the grace of God and the special provision of the sponsors: Jamie Terry & PriorityOne Real Estate company, some 12,000 people including school kids now have safe drinking water in ONUAFOR UMUHALI Community in ISHIELU LGA of EBONYI State.

The community is so happy now that they’re working hard together to erect an overhead water tank stand for a safer reservoir that will provide them with clean water round the year. The jubilation of the women, mothers over their new water source is extraordinary. They say RNM is God-sent, for what the Government and politicians have failed to do for them, we have come in from USA to do it for them.

We praise God for this phenomenal accomplishment by our Nigerian RNM field team despite all the the challenges of moving a heavy duty rig at the onset of the rainy season through bad rural roads with pot holes almost everywhere. As always we use every opportunity during our projects to also share the gospel of Christ the living water of life!

We still have many similar communities that are suffering and battling health issues from lack of clean water. To help sponsor the next project please donate Online at www.reliefnetworks.org or text “Give” to 409-377-6778.

WELL REHAB COMPLETED FOR MBAIGBUGH COMMUNITY, USHONGO LGA, BENUE State Nigeria and

Dedicated ast week.

Population served is over 2000 people plus their animals.

They use to get their domestic water from the stream, and shallow hand dug wells because this is the only deep drilled well in the community.

They are extremely happy to see that this abandoned borehole is revitalized for use in the community by RNM. Prior to this time, their women and children used to walk over 2 Km to fetch drinking or domestic water, but fortunately now that story has changed.

The well produces about 20ltr of water per minute.

All the kids and adult members of the community had opportunity to hear about Jesus the living water from our Central North WASH Project Leader - Stephen Verse Akume.

The school kids and teachers in the Community prayed for the ministry to be blessed and the good work done to them should continue to other communities in need too.

NKST MKAR CENTRAL CHURCH

NKST MKAR CENTRAL CHURCH

Last week Relief Network Ministries dedicated a new deep well drilled mid February 2024 at the NKST Mkar Central Church compound near Gboko, BENUE State Nigeria.

The commissioning ceremony was done by the NKST Missions Director- Rev. Dr. ST Atim Daa, in the after service event. There was a lot of jubilation from the church and community members.

The pastor narrated how they used to spend over N45k buying water every week and most of the time it was not possible to buy because of the cost, leaving their toilets unsanitary for the 7000 people that are in the community; the 100 bed hospital run by the church; plus the nearby elementary school.

By the grace of God and special gift from the Giles Family Foundation,

RNM was able to drill the new deep well for the Church and hospital to change their water crisis story.

There was great jubilation and Thanksgiving during the church service and much joy expressed at the well dedication. Our rep Stephen Akume shared the gospel to encourage everyone to embrace Jesus the living water for life.

The water from the well is high in quality & productive capacity with extensive dual water tanks for water distribution and reticulations which makes it easy for the community to have access to good quality water.

The resident pastor prayed more blessings for RNM & its partners to continue the kind gesture to others in need also.
