RNM Year-End Impact story

From grass to grace at the Orphanage

The 22 Orphanage kids that live in this South Indian village with the Mallapu family and some 1000 others in this community are already rejoicing for their new water well projected completed just in time for the New Year 2023. They were highly elated to see clean cool fresh underground water flowing in a large volume than they have ever seen water gushing from the pipeline or hose directly from the well.

The pictures tells the story better. So, at the bottom left of the grid above is their old water source - the water supply comes from their rural community overhead tank that is located some kilometers away and comes in trickles, and is not always running or available. Some times they'd have to wait for days for water to be available in small quantity which means they have to collect as much as possible and save it in a larger water storage tank for the entire orphanage and the folks that also attend Church there.

The water source is said to also be murky and with a taste.

Last week, Relief Network Ministries sent them money to procure a borehole that is 190 feet deep and fitted with submersible pump. That changes the story, and is bringing transformations to this community.

They can now breath a sigh of relief in their new water well that gushes out like a spring of living water. And so it's all cheers from the boys and the village women amazed by the high flow volume of the water pump, and waiting anxiously for the dedication prayers to finish so they can collect water for their domestic use. of course they're happy to wait on the dedication prayers which they know is much shorter than the wait for a 25 liter container to fill up with unsafe water from their former source.

Many thanks to our donors who have made it possible for this rural community of mostly indigent dwellers.

"For the needy will not always be forgotten, Nor the hope of the afflicted perish forever." Psalm 9:18.
